Sofiya Poland MSc, MCIPS is Al Masaood Group Procurement Manager responsible for managing Procurement and Supply Chain function for the Group. The responsibilities cover the development and implementation of robust procurement processes and policies, ensuring the company has a clear procurement strategy, further development of the function to service the growing business needs for Products and Services for the Group Business Units and Corporate Support.
Sofiya is British national with over 15 years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain in UAE and UK. Prior to joining Al Masaood, she was working with Etihad Airways as Procurement and Supply Chain Manager responsible for managing Procurement for the various critical categories for Etihad. Prior to Etihad, Sofiya worked with Proserv Middle East FZE, Strata Manufacturing PJSC, B/E Aerospace in mid and Senior Procurement and Supply Chain and Production Planning roles. Sofiya is proficient in category management and strategic sourcing from theory to execution and worked in a most complex procurement transformation projects from process redesign to implementation of Ariba (S2C and P2P, Spend Visibility, Contract Management and SRM) and SAP ERP. Sofiya has a Master’s in International Transport Engineering from Azov State Technical university (Ukraine) and in 2018 she became a Member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply MCIPS.
