The CIPS Middle East Supply Management Awards judging panel consists of representatives from CIPS as well as senior procurement leaders. We do not allow consultants to join our panel and we limit non-CIPS judges to just two terms on the panel. Judges are allowed to enter the Awards and have to sign a confidentiality agreement with us, as well as declaring any conflicts of entry regarding the entries. Those judges who have declared a conflict of interest do not score those submissions.
We are confident that our awards stand out from others in the profession for being highly transparent, robust and ethical. Our standards are incredibly high and we carefully select judges based on this.
THE JUDGING PROCESS
This consists of two phases. Firstly judges will individually read, score and comment on all of the entries. The second phase will consist of an in-depth group discussion on each entry and a majority vote will be conducted to determine the shortlist and winners, taking into account, scores, comments and discussions.
